Family
Sometimes people don’t see eye to eye…. Sometimes family members don't agree on things! This Christmas was Wonderful and I thank God for all the blessings in my life! I thank him for Godly parents and a solid husband. I also thank him for the backbone I have! I thank him for giving me the courage to stand up for what is right, and stand up for myself… We all have so many little eyes watching us! I probably have more than most since I teach pre-k, but we all have people who are watching. Some people do things and make decisions based of themselves and themselves alone.. We are not on this earth to make decisions for ourselves. We are not on this earth to do things because they make us feel warm and cozy inside! We are here to set an example! We are here to be the light on a hill! When you make decisions based on you and you alone that is selfish! It is our responsibility to do what is right based on God’s standards!

I think that some people expect others not to change who they are as they grow up! Everyone changes, and the things that happen in their lives make them who they are! Everything isn't supposed to stay the same! Things are supposed to change! We all have hard times, but the way we handle those hard times means everything! I don’t claim to be anything I’m not, I don’t claim to be the same person I was when I was 16! I am thankful that I have changed and grown up… I am who I am!!

Be a Godly Example!!

Experiences

Well, along with all the other great first year teacher experiences I get to plan and set up field trips! Today, we went to P-Bar Farms in Weatherford!!! We sat through a presentation, we went on a hay ride (with no hay ;), we all got to pick out our very own pumpkin, we went through a petting zoo, road on a tractor train and even went on an adventure through the corn and ate lunch on the farm!! Such a fun day and I give all the Glory To God for placing me in Thomas with such great kids and parents! I love my kids and I love my job!!

Boy- "Hey Mrs. Roye, can we come back tomorrow???"  :)))))

We get back to school and I am asking the kiddos what their favorite thing about today was and all but one child said something that had to do with the field trip.. The one child who didn't said this

"My favorite part was when we got back to school and played outside on the playground"

(which for the record, we do three times a day)

FUNNY FUNNY

DRAGON??

BOY- Mrs. Roye he sat on me!!!

ME- I am so sorry, did you tell him to get off???

BOY- No, because he sat on my like a DRAGON!!!

ME- LAUGHING

(before I could ask what that meant, he was off playing and totally on a different conversation :)

Gotta love four year olds!

Fish Names

Well, we made a decision about what we will be calling our 3 fish!!

#1 - PowerBoy
#2 - Cowgirl
#3 - Bunny Rabbit

They are very excited about this! I even had to make a sign to put above the fish tank so everyone would know the fish have names :)

Fish?? Or No Fish??

I am the teacher who didn't want fish.... I didn't want to clean the tank, I didn't want to feed the little guys or worry about 20 four year olds kicking the tank off into the floor followed by 20 kids crying because their fishies died! BUT my amazing teachers assistant talked me into it because one of my sweet kiddos had three fish to give the class :) So now I pray all day that my kids don't find 15 ways to end those little fishies lives the first week they are in our classroom!

Possible Names (we took a vote)
One of the most popular names for one of the three fish is BUNNY RABBIT
Alex wants to name one of them ALEX
FISHY is also another close runner
(I will take a picture of all the funny names they have talked about and bog about that tomorrow...

Pre-k Quote Of The Day

4 year old boy- "Hey... Hey Mr. Roye" (yes some of the boys still don't understand that Mr. means man lol so I am Mr. Roye)

Me- "Yes Sweetie"

4 year old boy- "If I had to get married, I would marry you Mr. Roye"

Me- "Oh really?"

4 year old boy- "Yes!!! Or my sister!!!"

He is Calling Us!!

Luke 6:45-49

45. A good person produces good deeds from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil deeds from an evil heart. Whatever is in your heart determines what you say. 46. "So why do you call me 'Lord,' when you won't obey me? 47. I will show you what it's like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then obeys me. 48. It is like a person who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon the underlying rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built. 49. But anyone who listens and doesn't obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will crumble into a heap of ruins."

My Better Half

Well, this is my very handsome husband. Three years ago, we had just moved to Weatherford and were about to start a very crazy life of Pharmacy School. Three  years later he is starting his last year. This journey has made us so much stronger, and showed me how lucky I am to have this man.

God knew what he was doing when he brought us together ;)

So wish him luck and keep him in your prayers...

Struggles

I believe that God lets us go through hard times to make us stronger. He lets us go through it to see if we will try to handle it all on our own because we think we know it all, or if we will admit that we alone are not strong enough, but HE is!

Growing up I witnessed this numerous times with my parents. When hard times would come my parents always let go of it and let God handle it. They chose to believe that God was in control and he knew what he was doing. Some of those times I was scared.... but Dad was right, if you trust in God things will work out how they should. We may not understand it now but we will someday. My dad also says the things God lets us go through now are preparing us for something greater. We must go through it to make us stronger in our faith.

Sean and I have struggles, but they aren't too big for God to handle!! My family has struggles, but they aren't too big for God to handle! The question is, will we trust God and stand on Faith that he has this all under control, or try to handle it ourselves?

I choose to stand on Faith and watch what God can do with my life!

My Little People

Everyday, when I get to work I have to find out who my twins are today... Example- yesterday I walked in the door and said "hi Phoebe and Lilly" and they looked at me and said nothing. Soooo, I said it again, and Lilly's response was "Ummm I'm not Lilly, I'm da Frog, and sister is da Princess." All day long I had to call them Princess and the Frog or they would just look at me lol.. So today I walk in and say "hi Princess and the Frog" and again I get blank stares. Phoebe then informs me that her name is Jessie and Lilly is the King. I love these sweet two year old girls imagination. Sometimes I just play along with them and I become someone else too... Now when I come to the house they say " Are you Allison?" because they aren't sure if I am playing their little game that day or not :) I love my job, and I love sneaking away from life for a few hours and being a character from a Disney movie. Life through their eyes is so entertaining. Going to miss these little ones when August comes around....

Life and all the Changes that come with it

I have been in Weatherford for over three years now. I have noticed that a lot has changed in my life and only a few things have stayed the same.

My Friends List- Growing up, my dad always said "You will only have one or two true friends in your lifetime." Such a true statement. I have a couple of friends that I know I will be close to for years to come, and I have stepped away from other friends because we simply don't agree on some things. I do have a few friends that I have had since I was young, and even though I don't talk to them a lot, they know and I know we have each others back ;) but my dad was right, those friends that I spent most of my time with in high school aren't around anymore.

Family- I have also learned that most of my best friends are part of my family! My Husband, My Parents, Grandparents, Siblings, Nieces... Those are the people that are there for Sean and I. My few close friends, well they are awesome! I thank God for giving me Godly friends who are always looking for ways to help people, including Sean and I!

Living 4 hours away from my family and old friends, I have thought a lot about why I have grown apart from people... My life has changed so much, and I just don't fit in with that "crowd" anymore.  In my opinion, that isn't a bad thing.... I love my life, and I know I am walking down the path God has laid out for me. I know that God has a purpose for my life, and being in Weatherford is part of that. I have grown to love this town, and it has taught me a lot. Now I am starting my new job and I am extremely excited about the co-workers God has sent me. My amazing husband is about to start his last year of Pharmacy School and I know he will be an awesome Pharmacist.

Weatherford..... Well it is where we are supposed to be right now. My dad has also always said "life is a series of challenges and choices." Sean and I have struggled here, but as soon as we gave everything to God, everything has fallen into place and we give the Glory to Him. Life changes, People change, God doesn't!!!

"A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
"
Proverbs 18:24

"Do not associate with a man given to anger;
Or go with a hot-tempered man,
Or you will learn his ways
And find a snare for yourself."
Proverbs 22:24-25

Ever Feel Like This??

Last week (AKA the week that completely drained me...) Oh man, talk about crazy!! The week started out with work. Sean works out in the heat all day and I keep three awesome kids all day (he thinks his job is harder, lets let him think that ;) Then on Tuesday I headed off with three awesome ladies to a teaching conference. Thursday I come home to find my house torn apart because my in-laws came down to re-do our nasty bathroom (which looks AMAZING now) I also came home to a very sick hubby... Friday I got up and went to work early only to be called at 10:30 by my mother-in-law telling me to get home because I need to take Sean to the E.R. I get home and find out he is running a 104.8 fever and can't take his meds from the doctor because he can't keep anything down :( So about thirty minutes later I convince him that the hospital is where he needs to be. We go to the E.R. and the nurse checks his vitals and she says "yeah those alone bought you an I.V.... "

So for the next 6-7 hours I sat in a metal chair praying that my hubby would be okay. Turns out he was very very sick and working in the heat only dehydrated him and made him even more sick. That night I took him home and he slept for the next two days. Now remember that when we got home, it wasn't a quiet environment due to the nail guns and hammering going on. Then my in-laws leave Saturday without having time to finish the bathroom because of all the drama from the day before. I was left to finish the bathroom, so I prayed Sean feels better soon lol...(Thank Jesus he felt better by Tuesday and we have finished the bathroom)

All in all last week was completely mad, scary and insane. Now that it is over I thank God for giving me my healthy, beautiful husband back, and an amazing looking bathroom! I thank God for being right in the middle of that crazy week...

Thank you God for watching over us! I know you have this under control
I am surrounded by trouble, but you protect me against my angry enemies.  With your powerful arm you keep me safe
Psalm 138:7
I am the Lord your God.  I am holding your hand, so don't be afraid.  I am here to help you.

Trust in God

I have been focusing on scriptures about Trusting in God.. I understand now more than ever that he has this under control. He hasn't messed up and as long as I trust in him and follow him, he will open the right doors.

Job 31
Psalm 13:5
Prov 3:5
1 Peter 2:7
Hebrews 2:13
1 Timothy 6:17
1 Cor 2:5
John 12:46
Hab 2:18
Hab 2:4
Isa 40:31
Psalm 25:2

Puppies- 3 1/2 weeks old

 I love these little guys...
Now as for Harlie, she isn't a big fan!!
But if I had my way... Sean and I would live int he country with tons of land and I would keep all 8 of them ;)
Again, Harlie and I disagree... Honestly if they were gone tomorrow I'm not sure she would care or notice :(
Because she loves her momma, and that is about it!
But gosh how could you not love this little girl??
Sean claims he doesn't love them, but that doesn't look like the case here
Starting out this little guy wasn't one of my favorites, but he has become my buddy and I just love him! He is by far the smallest of the 8
It is hard work being a puppy
They have to fight all day :)
People won't put them down, and that can make anyone sleepy.
3 weeks old and their ears already get in the way...
And all of those sticks that jump up and bite them
They already know that I will come to their rescue.
They are huge fans of sleeping
Sleeping in the grass is their new favorite thing, besides playing with Allie

 Ahhhh.. I love them!
 Another stick...
 Sleepy Face
Until Allie woke her up
Out again
Hard life in the Roye's backyard!
Such sweet little faces... Love them!
