Letting Go

Sean and I have really been focusing on giving everything to God and letting him handle it! I have been trying to find a job the last couple of weeks and just haven't been very excited about my options. I need something full time, but in this small town that means doing something outside of teaching. Part time subbing just wasn't paying the bills. All this week I have been praying, and asking God to open up something that I would enjoy and could be good at. I had an interview at Ace, which I would do but wouldn't love! 

Then, (out of the blue) a lady called me saying she got my name from a friend. She asked me to Nanny her 3 children. Things kept coming up and it seemed like it wasn't going to work out, but God just kept making it possible. He kept opening doors and letting me know that this is what I am supposed to do right now. Well, with all that said, I met the kids this morning.. 3 kids, 3 and under. The girls are twins and they are 2, the boy is 3. God is just showing me that when I let go and let him HANDLE it, things work out.. Why should I worry and fret of stuff that God has complete control over? So I am soo thankful for God showing me how much easier things could be if I (we) let go and let him handle it!

Stand Firm

This really spoke to me this morning.. We must have a strong relationship with God so that things that happen won't kick us to the floor... If we are standing strong in him he will hold us up! 

My husband and I are without stable jobs and don't make a lot of money right now, but as long as we are doing the things we are supposed to be doing, while trusting in God I know we will make it through and be a stronger couple because we made the decision to put our faith in God. 

Ephesians 6:10-12

A Final Word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to Stand Firm against all strategies and tricks of the devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those might powers and darkness who rule this world and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
