So, this week my pre-k is learning about Weather... We have read tons of books about the different kinds of weather we have and we have learned about a different type of weather each day. Today we learned all about the Sun! We talked about it on Carpet, we read books, we did centers about the Sun.... We totally covered the sun topic (or so I thought)
At my teacher table I was making the sun in the picture above. Let me tell you that everyday before my class does their 2 activities, I bring them to carpet and I model it for them. I go over what we are doing, and show them each step of what we are doing. We talk about it and I ask if everyone understands and they all shake their precious little heads in agreement.
So back to my teacher table! One of my sweet little boys was making his "sun" and he was talking about everything under the SUN to me, except what we were supposed to be talking about (because he is 4:) So he gets done and I ask him if he thinks he did a good job.. And he says
" yeah, but Mrs. Roye..... Why did we make this clown????"
